Many countries have established accreditation bodies. It takes 6 to 18 months from the time an organization decides to receive certification for the organization to meet ISO requirements and prepare the required documentation. During this period, all ISO 56001 cases must be carefully studied and implemented in the organization. Using a reputable company with relevant expertise and experience can make the certification process easier and faster. In parallel with meeting the requirements, a certification body should be selected approximately 3 to 6 months before the certification deadline.

The Innovation Management Standard Family is a set of standards that help organizations set up an efficient and effective innovation management system in their portfolio and achieve the desired results in innovative areas. These standards have been developed by TC 279 Committee consisting of innovation management experts from different countries who have been introduced through the National Standards Organization of these countries.

In order to implement the set of ISO 56000 family standards, the executive and auditing requirements that must be observed by the organization are described in the ISO 56001 standard document (ISO 56001) under the requirements of the Innovation Management System. This document is currently being compiled and will be officially published in 2023 AD (1402 AD). Therefore, no certification body or organization can issue a definitive and formal certification to organizations under the title of this standard until the issuance of ISO 56001.
